MPUMALANGA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO SHOWCASE LEARNERS’ ARTISTIC TALENT IN VISUAL ARTS PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY

The Mpumalanga Department of Education is thrilled to host  the 2024 Visual Arts and Design Prize-Giving Competition on Tuesday, 13 August 2024 at the Mbombela Gallery. 


This occasion also serves to celebrate the  province’s rich indienous flora through the eyes of its talented learners and teachers .


This prestigious event will recognize and reward exceptional artistic creations that capture the beauty and diversity of South Africa’s natural heritage. 


Participants from school within the Province will have the opportunity to showcase their  artwork. 

This exhibition will continue until Friday, 16 August 2024. 


The platform will allow for a wider audience to appreciate the creativity and skill of our young artists. 


Winners will be honored during a captivating occasion to be officiated by the MEC for Education, Ms. Cathy Dlamini.

“Mpumalanga boasts breathtaking landscapes and an abundance of flora and fauna which serve as an inspiring backdrop for the arts. 

By nurturing artistic talent, we aim to create a vibrant cultural landscape and are committed to establishing dedicated arts schools within our Province - the Place of the Rising Sun,” said MEC Dlamini.
