The Global NGO Stakeholders Summit 2026, Nairobi, Kenya

The Global NGO Summit is set to be held in Nairobi on June 24–26, 2026, which will be one of the continent's most significant development convenings in the non-profit history, sparking a change in the sustainability of the sector.

The summit will take place in Africa's diplomatic and innovation hub, under the theme: "Catalysing Change: Strengthening Social Impact Organisations for Inclusive and Sustainable Development in Africa by Bridging Policy, Innovation and Leveraging Local Solutions."

The peak is at a critical moment for the sector. The world's funding environment is changing and the need of the hour is for all the expertise to be brought together in a single platform to deal with the critical issues of sustainability and governance. This event is intended to move the discussion from the old funding paradigm to the new paradigm of long-term resilience brought about by strong oversight and ethical leadership.

One of the highlights of the three-day program is the focus on reimagining Africa's development future as traditional aid models continue to evolve. Discussions will explore how social impact organisations can strengthen governance, accountability and institutional resilience while adapting to changing funding realities. Attention will be given to localisation, innovative financing, trust-based partnerships, technology & innovation, entrepreneurship and community led solutions with leaders from across government, civil society and the private sector examining pathways toward sustainable, locally driven development and long-term impact.

The organising committee believes Nairobi provides an ideal platform for this Pan-African dialogue. With its concentration of international agencies, development institutions, investors, and innovative local enterprises, the city offers a unique environment for advancing new forms of collaboration and strengthening partnerships that support Africa's development priorities.

The Summit programme will feature high-level discussions on development financing, localisation, climate action, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, governance, health systems, food security, and sustainable economic growth. Beyond dialogue, participants will co-create practical policy and partnership frameworks, investment pathways, and collaborative solutions designed to accelerate inclusive and sustainable development across Africa.
